What we hold, and why.

Founders Loop only works if you tell us honestly what you are building and what you need. Here is exactly what happens to that.

What we collect

Your name, business name, email address, town or region, your chosen Loop and subheadings, your answers to the five founder questions, your stage, your capability tags, and anything you later post in the Lounge Room or on the Collaboration Board.

What we publish

Once your application is approved, your founder profile — name, business, Loop, region, headline, the five answers and your capability tags — is published in the Gallery and shown as a dot on the map. Anyone can see it, signed in or not. Your email address is never published.

What stays private

The chat room, the Collaboration Board and member events are visible only to signed-in members with an active membership. Your email address, your password and your payment details are never shown to other members.

Why we hold it

To match you with other founders. Hermes reads your written answers and your capability tags to work out who you should already know.

Who else sees it

Our hosting and database provider stores the data on our behalf. We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers. Sponsors and partners get no access to member records.

How long we keep it

For as long as your membership is active, and for twelve months afterwards so a lapsed member can rejoin without starting again.

Changing or removing your details

You can edit your application answers at any time from the Join page while signed in. To have your profile unpublished or your record deleted entirely, email us and we will action it — deletion removes your profile, your map dot and your posts.

Payments

If you make a payment, it is handled by a payment provider. Card numbers never reach Founders Loop and are never stored by us.

Questions about anything on this page? Ask in the Lounge Room, or write to us and we'll answer plainly.
