What problem are you solving?: Nutrient runoff is choking inshore reef, and there is no local industry set up to take that nutrient back out of the water at scale.
Who does it help?: Cane growers under nutrient targets, inshore reef, and coastal towns needing new work.
What is the innovation?: Nearshore seaweed lines that strip nutrient and produce two saleable outputs: cattle feed additive and a raw fibre for materials.
What are your barriers?: Marine permitting timelines and no local processing plant for wet biomass.
